“Every man owes a part of his time and money to the business or industry in which he is engaged. No man has a moral right to withhold his support from an organization that is striving to improve conditions within his sphere.”
-President Theodore Roosevelt, 1908
The Massachusetts Independent Automobile Dealer Association (MIADA) was founded in the early 80s as an affiliate of the National Independent Automobile Dealer Association (NIADA) by a group of dealers in Massachusetts. NIADA offers education, DC lobbying, and networking with vendors for discounts and beneficial profit centers for dealers.
In 2010, MIADA took over the New England charter of NIADA and added ME, VT, NH, CT and RI to the MIADA Association. During the COVID pandemic, it became obvious that the territory was too large to be managed by a single office in Massachusetts. So, the territory was split into two regions: Northern New England aka NHIADA (ME, VT and NH) and Southern New England aka SNEIADA/MIADA (MA, RI and CT).
The MIADA/SNEIADA represents dealers in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. We lobby for laws that will help dealers with business regulations that make sense and fight laws that will hurt our dealers. We support independent dealers with education, products, and vendors that help them with everyday operational necessities. We also help consumers by educating dealers to operate ethically.
We Pledge:
To provide an association of Independent Automobile Dealers who inform, protect, educate and represent the integrity and honor of the industry throughout the Commonwealth; and to work in cooperation with other organizations to make Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island better places for all.
We would be honored to have you as a member of our association.
